In the Moorland (orig. Mýrin), International Children’s Book Festival, is a biennial counterpoint of The Reykjavík International Literature Festival, celebrating children’s culture in its various forms. It was held for the first time in 2001. The Nordic House in Reykjavík organizes the festival, in collaboration with other institutions and organizations in the field of children’s culture and literature. The festival draws its name from the moorland in which the Nordic House stands.
