Reykjavík UNESCO City of Literature supports new projects and initiatives in the literary field in Reykjavík. Artists, grassroots publishers, collectives and associations can seek cooperation with and support from the City of Literature, in order to put ideas in the literary field into action. These can be public events, workshops, educational projects or other initiatives in this field. This is not a publication grant and thus publications are not supported unless linked with projects or festivals the Reykjavík City of Literature is a direct organizer of.
Applications 2022
Applications are received twice a year: The former deadline is February 28th 2022 and the second deadline is May 30th 2022. Applicants will receive a reply in about one month from the deadline.
Applications should include a clear description of the project, a budget plan and time schedule. If the project is supported, the cooperation with the Reykjavík City of Literature should be mentioned in all PR material and a report is handed in when the project has been realized.
The maximun support for a single project is 400.000 ISK.
