Gröndalshús is a charming house in the heart of the old town in Reykjavík. This former home of writer and illustrator Benedikt Gröndal will be open from 6 - 11 pm on Museum Night, Friday February 2nd.
Come join the Reykjavik UNESCO City of Literature and its friends and learn about Gröndal and his house. Kids can try their hand at drawing birds and animals as Benedikt himself did at his time or imitate his handwriting by using his copybooks. From from 9 - 11 pm three local writers of foreign origin will host the programme River of Words.

Try your hand at translating Gröndal into any language, facilitated by Ewa Marcinek.
Angela Rawlings leads a writing exercise / trance called Orðaá / River of Words. Let soundscape and situational influence move your writing as you flow with it.
The writing activities are open to folks writing in any language. Language of facilitation will be in English or Icelandic. Please bring your own writing supplies (paper, journal, pen, etc.).
